Hi I'm Austin

I play the saxophone. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music. I played the saxophone and the clarinet in my high school jazz band, and I enjoyed every second of it. I also really love the outdoors. I love spending time with my family, my 4 brothers and my sister, and my parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a Mormon family. Both my parents, as well as most of my extended family are Mormon as well. I chose to continue going to this church because I know that it is the true and living church of God. I have studied the Book of Mormon, and I know of a surety that it is true. I have prayed and received the knowledge that it is true. I also have studied the Bible, and I understand that it is meant to be paired with the Book of Mormon. I am thankful for the gift of a living and loving prophet who guides us today through the direction of our Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith truly did see Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove. I have a testimony that this church is true, and that Heavenly Father does listen to us and loves us. I am thankful for the gift of the Atonement, and I know that no matter what mistakes have been done, that we can be forgiven.

How I live my faith

In my ward, or church congregation, I have had a few different responsibilities, or callings. My most recent calling in my ward was that I was the first assistant to the bishop in the youth group that I was in, being the boys 16-18 years of age. I would make assignments over who would teach the lesson in our next meeting, or who would take care of certain responsibilities, and I would try and rotate the tasks evenly among myself and my peers. Outside of church, I try to live what is taught through the living prophet, and through the scriptures, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon.
