Hi I'm Sister Taylor

I am from Washington, I am a missionary and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, my name is Boston. I have recently received my Mission Call and will be serving as a Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My favorite food is curry. I love pomegranates, blue, dragonflies, college-ruled paper, and being creative. I have two pet cacti named Matchstick and Spindles. My favorite hobbies include singing opera, painting, drawing, writing, pinteresting, reading, and anything else remotely creative. I love to learn and to try new things. I also enjoy inspiring and uplifting others. After I get off my mission, I plan to start my own website/blog to motivate and inspire young adults. I plan on pursuing a BFA degree in Studio Art & Design and a Minor in Creative Writing.

Why I am a Mormon

Can I just say, I love the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have learned, especially in the last few years, that the best way to endure the struggles and hardships of life is through and only through having a solid relationship with our Savior. Life is a challenge, but it can be an adventurous challenge. Simply being a member of the church is not my religion, Jesus Christ is. I love this Gospel because it encourages me to be a better person, it helps me to become the person I wish to be, and it makes me happy. We believe that God is our Heavenly Father and we are is children. He loves us and gives us the ability to exercise our agency. He desires us to do our best to serve Him and to live His commandments. He gives us the scriptures, leaders, and Prophets to guide us and to help us make it back to Him. We are here to progress and better ourselves. He has a plan for us. And that's what's so beautiful about it all. We aren't just here blindly hacking through the obstacles of life, simply surviving until we die. There is more to our existence. We are important, so important that Jesus Christ would come and give is life for us so that we could return to live with our Heavenly Father again and retain a remission of our sins. I know that this Gospel is true. I have witnessed this through the power of the Holy Ghost which I cannot deny and to do so would surely be an abomination to the Lord. I have sacrificed much and I have endured much for this Gospel and I have done so (and will continue to do so) because I love it and because I love my Savior. He love me and He loves each and everyone of us. He has truly restored His church upon this earth. He leads and guides us by and through revelation of the Prophets today. He continues to lead us and direct us because He loves us and will never and has never abandoned us. I love the Bible and I believe the Book of Mormon to be another testament of Jesus Christ; translated by Joseph Smith by the direction and power of God.

How I live my faith

What's it like living my faith? Well, it is definitely challenging, but also I love it. It can be hard, because there are so many out their that don't understand and often have misconceptions of what we believe in and it can cause conflicts within friendships, romanitic relationahips, peer relationahips, and occasionally even in family relationships. I am always ready and willing to help others understand what I believe in and I'm not afraid to stand up for what I believe in even if it frightens me. I do my upmost best to be honest, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and kind. I believe in emulating my Savior and his teachings and doing my best to be like Him and be a Christ-like enample to others. I have found that when I am doing things that are in harmony with his teachings and with the standards I represent I am much happier. I strive to be modest, to be giving, loving, accepting, healthy, and educated. There have been times when I have been challenged for being Lds, for having high standards in manner, dress, eating habits, conduct, ect. And I've learned that the best way to deal with it is to keep loving them and keep holding to what I feel is right.
