Hi I'm Leicy

I am a daughter. A sister. A daughter of God. A friend. A student. A convert. A employee. A future full-time missionary.

About Me

I like to hike, go running and kickboxing when I can. I love to spend time with my family and friends. I enjoy movies, mostly comedy and action. I plan on continuing school and anything else that is in store for me after my mission :)

Why I am a Mormon

It all started when two missionaries knocked on my door looking for my aunt who was on vacation. They introduced themselves and asked me a little bit about me, my name, school and friends. I mentioned a common friend, and I think they'd mention that they were going to see her later that day. Without trying to commit to anything, I just said that if I ever wanted to go to church, that I'd let her know and they were off. About an hour or two later, she calls asking if I'd come to a church tour. I agreed. So much for trying not to commit. Soon after that I started taking the lessons. When I met with them, there was just like good energy . I didn't know that it was the Spirit at the time. I also loved learning more about the gospel, the Savior and our Heavenly Father. If I hadn't decided enter into the waters of baptism and come closer to Christ and Heavenly Father, I would not be where I am at this point in my life...happy. That is not to say that I was unhappy before. My eyes are more open to see how blessed I really am, how much our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ loves us, how we are brothers and sisters and how we should treat each other as such. I realize how important family is and that the atonement is truly the answer to everything. I know of a surety that our prayers are heard, that Heavenly Father loves us all, that he is always there to guide us, our trials will only make us stronger and that the Spirit testifies of all truth. Heavenly Father has, is and will always be the same.

How I live my faith

As of now I am a ward missionary, a visiting teacher and doing what I can to prepare myself for a mission.
