Hi I'm Kathleen

I grew up in Utah, we raised our family in Colorado, have been in Utah for the last nearly 30 years. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. My husband and I love the out of doors. I love to golf, I love to bike, love travel and seeing other parts of our beautiful country and other parts of the world. I am retired, so have had the opportunity to do much travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My forefathers endured many hard things, and as I think about my life, I feel that I have been greatly blessed because of my membership in the Church. Even though I was "born into the church", I still needed to be converted as does everyone else. When my children were small, I was at a swimming pool with my children. A group of us were there and we decided to split up so half could go in the large pool while the other half watched over the children in the children's pool. While I was in the large pool, I had a distinct voice tell me that my daughter was in trouble and to go to her. She was not yet two. I immediately got out of the pool and ran to the children's pool. My daughter was floating in the pool, face up, and I thought she had drowned. Her eyes were open and she was lifeless. I grabbed her from the pool and was able to revive her. I knew the Lord was watching over us that day. I know my Heavenly Father lives and loves us. Each day, I feel that each of us can experience miracles in our life, given to us by our Heavenly Father, if we live worthily. Because of the many answers to prayers and many blessings given to me, I have always wanted to live the way my Heavenly Father would want me to.

How I live my faith

I love serving others and working with the sisters. For the past five years I've had the opportunity to serve with the sisters in our area. I've had the opportunity to organize many events for the sisters, including several conferences, dinners, and other get togethers. As women, we love to socialize and get together to make quilts for someone in need, or other humanitarian efforts to help others who are not as fortunate as we are.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Kathleen
I love having the gift of the Holy Ghost with me at all times, to warn me, to comfort me, and to help me with concerns in my life. And though, almost everyone has felt the Holy Ghost at some time, there is a difference between experiencing the occasional influence of the Holy Ghost and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. I'm grateful for this precious gift. Show more Show less
