Hi I'm Connor Saunders

I'm an actor, a professional scouter, a missionary, and I'm a Mormon. I'm from Tooele Utah, and serving in Louisville

About Me

My name is Connor aka Gunner Summers (Don't Ask!) I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah but have lived in Colorado, Washington State, Oregon, and Wyoming. I love acting, running cross country, and Scouting. I'm on scholarship for theater and have acted since Junior High, I just ran my first RAGNAR Relay Race with my Dad this Summer, and I've worked at a Scout Camp in Wyoming the last 3 years. I also LOVE Movies! Especially the "Stars Wars Saga", Marvel Universe, and classic films from all eras. I'm also an avid gamer. My favorite game is Destiny.

Why I am a Mormon

During some harder times in my life I have fallen away from those things I've learned to do throughout my life. During those times I felt I could do what I need to do on my own and didn't need to do those simple things that members of the church are asked to do. But as I have come back to the church, especially as I have served a full time mission, I have learned that with the help of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and as I continue to learn and grow in the gospel of Christ, I can take on those hardships I face daily. I don't need to worry if I am good enough, or if I am doing enough. As long as I do what's right, I don't have to worry about anything else.

How I live my faith

I feel my faith is best described through my actions. As I was growing up in Utah, I had a few rough patches in my life were I felt far away from Jesus Christ. I have high functioning Asperger's syndrome, also known as social autism, and I have always struggled with the social aspect of life. I often looked at myself as someone who was on his own, and I had to solve my problems by myself. In my senior year of high school though, my struggles with school, theater, and trying to be a normal kid finally became to much and I attempted to take my own life. A few days later I finally reached out to the lord for help, to give me something to help me through my trials. This help came in my parents and my bishop working with me to see my worth as a son of God. They helped me to realize that God will always be there to help me through my trials, but It is my responsibility to reach out to him and ask for forgiveness and help. I can only come so far on my own, but with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ I can achieve so much more.
