Hi I'm Kaitlyn McCoy

I am from Bicknell, Utah and grew up in a small town. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am Kaitlyn! I have just graduated high school and I love to read and bake any kind of sweets. Growing up I had two older sisters which made it always a competition, we always ended up playing sports together so I love to go for a run and just being physically active. We moved around a lot when I was growing up and it resulted in my family going inactive for almost 15 years of my life. But coming back to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints is the best decision I have ever made and I am happier than ever!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. I was born in the church but we became inactive. Moving around a lot as a young family it was hard to get used to a new ward and a new school. We ended up just becoming inactive until we moved to a tiny town in Utah. As we grew older here we would go to church just for something to do on Sunday's but it quickly became a habit. I love the church and I hope that someday people can understand the blessings and the happiness that the gospel can bring into your life. I have a testimony of this church. I know that Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that he restored the Church. I know that if we live worthy that we will be with our family forever and that we can all be together again. I know that Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet, seer, and revelator. I know of the love that God and Jesus Christ have for us and that if we just follow them that we will be able to be truly happy and receive his blessings.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being involved. Teaching the youth of the ward really helps to grow and understand the basics of the church beliefs and to help remind you of them. I had the opportunity to be president in the young women's which opened up a new understanding of the importance of the family. I am also preparing to serve a mission in New Jersey and I can't wait to teach the people!

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Kaitlyn McCoy
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is a family oriented church. The family is so important because we believe that families provide a setting for loving, teaching, and serving. The family is central to God's plan. Show more Show less
