Hi I'm Sierra

I grew up in Utah. I will soon be a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a sophomore in college. The major I am going into is Special Ed. I love to hike, dance, interact with other people. In High School I was really into FCCLA. I competed at Nationals twice. I enjoy going on walks and reading. I love being active, and keeping busy. I also love to make people laugh and smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it is the only true church on the earth today. The spirit has testified to me of its truthfulness. I follow the Lords commandments, because it is my desire to return to my Heavenly Father and live with my family forever. I continue to follow Jesus Christ's gospel, because it makes me happy. I know I can turn to my Heavenly Father constantly, he will always help me. He has a plan for me, and through him I can do great things. Through the Saviors atonement I can be clean. I can enter into the kingdom of the Lord. I know that I am loved and that I am special in God's eyes. He made me, and I am his daughter. I bear my testimony that through Christ's Atonement can we be made perfect like him. When we keep the commandments we will receive happiness and blessings more than ever imaginable. This gospel and the commandments are stepping stones back to our fathers presence. The Book of Mormon is true and that as we read the scriptures we can come closer to our Heavenly Father. Because of this testimony that I have, I am able to push away the powers of Satan. Because of this testimony, I will stand strong in the face of trials and tribulations. This testimony is who I am. It defines me. It is my rock on which to govern my life.

How I live my faith

I do not currently have a calling because I will be serving a mission soon in the Virginia Chesapeake area. The last job/calling I had was a counselor at an LDS girls camp. There I was able to engage the girls in fun activities, while helping their testimony to grow. I also have been the Youth Young Womens President, Ward Pianist, Ward Missionary, and Ward Chorister.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Sierra
Mosiah 2:17 "Ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." Christ teaches that we are supposed to love all men. He doesn't specify one race or one specific people. As Mormons we believe that in order to become like Christ we need to show kindness and love to all men, regardless of their status or whether they are of our faith. Every man and women deserves compassion and kindness, because that is God's way and his gospel. Show more Show less
