Hi I'm Spencer

I'm from Utah, I am called to serve in the Republic of Congo, Brazzaville mission, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Spencer Thomas, I live in Utah and have lived in Utah for most of my life. As a result I am a hardcore skier and love spending time in the mountains. I am currently called to serve a mission in the Republic of Congo, Brazzaville mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I have a strong testimony that this church is true and the teachings of this church are the true path to happiness. I have experienced the tremendous joy that has come through my living the commandments and my studying of gospel principles. One of my favorite experiences was when I was camping in southern Utah, and I was reminded of the scripture Alma 30:44 which states "All things denote that there is a God. As I looked among the gigantic and beautiful land formations I remember feeling the spirit and knowing with an absolute surety that there is a God. This spiritual feeling hasn't left me in my life as I've strengthened my testimony and prepared for my mission. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Joseph Smith is a true prophet and that he restored the church. I know that Jesus Christ died for our sins and that through him we can be saved, and I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and wants us to be happy.

How I live my faith

I am very active in my community in service related projects, whether church related or not. I am currently a few days from leaving to the Ghana missionary training center, and I couldn't be more excited. At first it was difficult for me to leave behind my friends and my education for two years. But as I have been earnestly studying and preparing I have found that this is what God wants for me, and my life and the lives of others will be touched immensely by my decision to serve.
