Hi I'm Asher

I grew up in Rigby Idaho. I have four siblings and I hope to someday be a doctor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from High School five months ago and am so excited to go on a mission. I love being outside in the world and learning to be apart of it, whether it is through language, culture or tradition. Learning facts and making friends are things that I find important in my day to day routine. Outside, I love to be active, running, swimming, hiking, all things I love to do, but its not fun unless I have family and friends with me. In school, I enjoyed taking language and science classes; I hope to someday become a doctor. Helping those who can't help themselves is a goal of mine, whether it is through surgery or service. When I come home from my mission, I hope to start up college and begin the road to becoming a doctor.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I Love The Book of Mormon. I have read the whole book, cover to cover, and have prayed to know if it is true, and have received a firm confirmation that it is the word of God. I also am a Mormon because I love its teachings. Knowing that my father in Heaven Loves me brings me such great Happiness. I have always loves knowing that my family can be together forever, that not even death can separate us. I love the Prophet, and the teachings he gives us. I know he has been called of God and that he knows our needs. But most of all, I know that my Savior lives, and that he knows me. He knows my strengths and my weaknesses. I am so fortunate to be able to serve a mission and share the knowledge that I have. I know that this church is true and I say these things in the sacred name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I have been blessed to have many opportunities to serve by holding church positions. By doing them, I have been given many blessings. I have learned how to lead, learn, and see the potential in people. Talking about the gospel brings me happiness, especially when it comes from friends or someone I admire. Being in the young men's I have been able to do tons of fun activities, thanks to Boy Scouts. An organization that has taught me how to be a better leader and how to be curious about the world. In Boy Scouts, we are given more positions to fill, more opportunities to learn. This church has blessed me in so many ways, I know I wouldn't be the person I am today without it.
