Hi I'm Michael McDowell

I'm from Idaho, I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am attending Brigham Young University. I love getting involved with other students to have fun in dance clubs and sports. I wrestled in High School and still have a passion for that sport. I like doing service projects and having family dinners with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I have learned for myself that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true church. I have read the Book of Mormon, and after praying I have felt in my heart that the words in it are of God. The Spirit of God can touch the heart of anyone who is willing to ask with a sincere heart if The Book of Mormon is true. I know that there is a prophet on the Earth today who continues to direct the actions of God's Church, just like the prophets of old.

How I live my faith

I attend church and other meetings where we learn and practice how to become more like Jesus Christ. I oversee a group of people my age who meet every Monday for a short lesson from the scriptures and an activity together. I also study the scriptures personally and pray to God.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Michael McDowell
It is only through the grace of the Atonement that we are able to come live with our Father in Heaven again. When Jesus Christ was crucified for the sins of the world, he enabled all mankind to come back to him through repentance and obedience to His word. Show more Show less
