Hi I'm Allison

I love the outdoors, biking, and art. I am a full time missionary in Chile. I'm a Mormon

About Me

One of my favorite things to do is mountain bike. I learned how to ride a bike at a very young age and since then I have grown to love it. There is nothing more refreshing to me then to spend my morning riding my bike on the mountain. Outside of mountain biking I like to play almost any sport. My favorite sport is basketball, but I also run, and I even competed in a triathlon. When I am not doing this you can find me studying for my college classes or working on a art project. I plan on studying art and design in collage. However I am putting all this on hold as I serve as a missionary for 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith into a family that loved the church. My parents have always been good example to me of people who love God and strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ. When I started high school I also started attending seminary, a religious class that the church offers for high school age students. In this class we studied the scriptures in depth. The first year I went my class studied the New Testament. As we studied the life of our Savior Jesus Christ in class, and as I studied the scriptures on my own at home I began to love reading my scriptures. I now know, without a doubt, that the scriptures, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the true word of God. If you sincerely study them they will give you both peace and direction in your life. In addition to that, I know that God loves each of his sons and daughters. There are times in my life where I have felt his love so strongly that there is no way I deny it. He wants the best for you. I also know that I can always pray and that God will answer my prayers. It isn't always when and how I expected an answer but my prayers are always answered in a way that shows that God loves me and wants the best for me. Without this church I would be lost but with it I know that everything works out in the end. This church brings me more peace and happiness then I could have anywhere else.

How I live my faith

Right now I am preparing to serve a mission. I am hoping to leave sometime within the next year. I want others to be able to help others feel the love and comfort I have felt as a member of the church.
