Hi I'm Drake Jennings

I like to tinker. I love nature. I am an Eagle Scout. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I like to look at things and figure out how they work. I once stared at a vending machine just to discover how it gave you your drink. I've been bullied. It's gotten better overtime though through good friends. I love hunting, hiking, camping, and any excuse to enjoy the beauty that can be found in nature. I'm not good in crowds of people, yet I strive to be everyone's friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born a Mormon. At first I was just following the motions. Go to church, take seminary, go on a mission. I can't tell for sure when it changed, but eventually, my motives changed. I love feeling the presence of The Spirit in Seminary and I came to love my teachers and classmates, despite my initial feelings towards them. The boundries fell away and I could finally be myself. I didn't have to worry about what people thought, especially my parents, because in the end, it didn't matter. I am me. I'm no longer serving a mission because that's what guys are supposed to do. I want to serve The Lord and my brothers and sisters. I didn't care where I went because I knew that it would be ok. I don't care that I'll be in the borderlands of Mexico for two years speaking a language I barely know, because someone NEEDS me to go to Mexico. I don't know if it's me or someone I'll meet there, and frankly I don't care.

How I live my faith

I'm going on a mission to Reynosa, Mexico and I can't wait! I read the scriptures before work every day. I love to serve my fellow men whether it's as simple as opening a door or I spend hours cleaning up a neighbor's yard.
