Hi I'm Johannah E Martin

I'm a song writer. I'm an identical twin. I'm a happy Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and life is good. I grew up in foggy, sandy, Northern California. My parents loved me, taught me the truths of the Gospel, and often called me by the wrong name. My twin sister and I are identical, and we grew up living identical lives. As we got older, we slowly began to separate into two unique persons. She spent high school delving into graphic arts and I started writing music. After graduation, my love for the beach took me to school in Hawaii as her passion for graphic design took her to school in Utah, where I later joined her. I love her with everything I am and our differences create a beautiful pattern, our strengths winding around the other's weaknesses to create something very whole. I believe that people make us happy, not places or things. I also believe that life works out in the end and worrying about it all while you're in the middle of it is pointless. I have a loud family and I adore them. I write poetry and music. I love playing guitar. I love laughing. And I love my God. He is too good to me. I have been so blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

Being Mormon is being happy. Having the gospel in my life is having hope in my life. I'm not saying all your problems go away. I am saying, however, that all your problems transform into something completely different and completely possible. A trial becomes a turning point, a period of grief becomes a period of growth, and weaknesses and short comings actually make us stronger in the end. Being a Mormon gives me perspective. Perspective gives me peace. And I get to live my life knowing that somehow, at some point, everything will work out. Knowing that sure helps me feel a little braver when storms come my way.

How I live my faith

I think we all share a very large calling and that is to share the gospel. To help others by teaching them who they are and what that means. This is a way of life. And its a wonderful one. I have been blessed by this religion, and so it is my responsibility to share it with others. It is too sweet to keep to myself.
