Hi I'm Gabriella

I'm a Westfalia-dweller, expert bean-eater, and third-culture kid. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying everything and anything that sparks my interest without actually being committed to a major. I take pictures; I watercolor; I run marathons. I'm a journalist for a mormon website, trying to give the world substance in the form of Mormon-clickbait. I spent the majority of my formative years living in Latin America, eating frijoles and tortillas.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that my Heavenly Father loves me, and I have felt that love in the quietest of moments, testifying to me that this is the true church. I have experienced the cleansing and enabling power of the atonement, and understood on the deepest of levels what it means to falter and return to the path of Christ. I continue to make the choice to keep His commandments with every step I take and each decision I make.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in the day-to-day, as I participate in church callings and attend the full three hours of church each Sunday. More importantly though, I strive each day to embody the divine attributes of Christ -- and a lot of the time, I fail, and that's all right. I understand what it's like to be a skeptic, and if my humble testimony of the gospel can touch anybody's life in even the faintest of senses, then I've accomplished something.
