Hi I'm Jeremy

I grew up in Temecula, California. Youngest of 7 kids, I'm a twin, I'm a missionary, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of 7 kids, by two minutes. But if you ask my twin, she'll argue that it is four minutes. I was born and raised in Southern California by two amazing parents. Family is important to me! I enjoy playing all kinds of sports, going to the beach, hiking, and all that fun stuff that everyone else seems to like. I am currently a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, serving in the Washington D.C. South Mission, in Northern Virginia. I love the people here. I love the history of the area, and I absolutely love the diversity. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and I know that it blesses lives! That's why I'm here. I was (and will be) a student at Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah, and like many other people I have no idea what career I'd like to pursue. The unknown worries me sometimes, but I'm excited to see what the future holds!

Why I am a Mormon

Some people jump to conclusions and say "You're Mormon because your parents are and they raised you in that faith." While that is partly true, I still have been given the gift of agency to decide if this is how I want to live my life. I have come to a knowledge for myself that this is the Lord's true and living church on the earth today, led by a prophet who is called of a God. That knowledge didn't come from anyone else telling me. It came to me as I applied the things I've learned into my life, and seen the results of lasting joy, peace, and happiness. It came to me as I've prayed and received personal revelation through the Holy Ghost that this is the true church on the earth. It came to me as I've served others, and seen the changes that the gospel has made in their lives. This knowledge has helped give me purpose and direction in my life. The list can go on as to why I am a Mormon, but at the end of the day it comes down to something so simple: it makes me happy!! I know it can bring you joy as well. I love the divine, restored truths found in the gospel of Jesus Christ and it's brought more joy into my life than anything else! If you feel that something is missing in your life, I can promise you that the gospel of Jesus Christ can and will fill that void.

How I live my faith

I find joy in living my faith through daily acts of faith. Daily scripture study, daily prayer, and perhaps most importantly, daily repentance, are just a few things that help fortify my faith as I strive to be a better disciple of Jesus Christ. I am imperfect, but trying to do better each and every day. The church gives me so many amazing opportunities to serve. Prior to being a missionary, I was able to teach a weekly Sunday school class to a bunch of other young adults in my local congregation while in college. Currently, I have the full-time privilege and responsibility to invite others to come unto Christ by helping them to learn and live those simple principles of faith and repentance. I know that living my faith will be a blessing to me today, tomorrow, and for the rest of my life!!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Jeremy
We proselyte to fulfill the command given by Christ to his disciples to "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations..." (Matthew 28:19). The gospel has brought joy into our lives and we want others to feel that same joy! We don't go out trying to convince people to believe what we believe. We try our best to serve and "Invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through" teaching principles of "faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end." There's missionaries everywhere, and they want to help in any way they can! Let us know how we can help! Show more Show less
