Hi I'm Kellen Hansen

I am from Afton Wyoming, And I have been called to serve as a missionary in the Bolivia, Santa Cruz Mission. I am a Mormon

About Me

I was adopted by my family when I was 3 days old. From that point on I never felt different than any of my other siblings. I was loved and nurtured in a very active LDS home as the youngest child of 7 kids. I knew from an early age that I wanted to serve a mission, and my testimony was started very early on. In high school I have been involved heavily in athletics and have been apart of state championship teams in both Football, and Track and Field, while being named to All-State, and All-Conference teams in both. I also have been honored by being named a team captain in both. I also was named to the Wyoming All-State Choir all 4 years in High School, and have had leading roles in the school musical. I feel it is important for us to use the talents that our Heavenly Father has given us to better ourselves and praise him. I was recently called to serve in the Bolivia, Santa Cruz Mission. I report on July 25th, 2017.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because my faith has laid a foundation for my life that I wouldn't have if it weren't for the gospel. The gospel has shaped the way I act and treat others. It has brought light into the life of my family, and given us the reassurance that we will be together for all time and eternity. It has allowed me to express my talents in ways I never thought possible. Most of all I think it gives me a sense of optimism in everything I do. Because of the knowledge I have that my Savior suffered for my sins, I am able to move forward when faced with opposition and trials. The gospel is what brings me the most happiness in the world.

How I live my faith

I do as much as I can to serve in my ward, and my community. Being active in the church is very important to me. I have done all I can to be a leader in my quorums and I genuinely love the other members of my quorum. I try to never check my religion at the door, and I maintain my standards as best I can in my regular everyday life. I read my scriptures daily as well as pray throughout the day. I do my best to serve others regardless of their faith, or my association with them. I love being around people. I recognize that all people are children sons and daughters of God, and because he loves them, I should too
