Hi I'm Elliott Evans

I grew up in Iowa. I am currently a college student. I plan on serving a full time mission in early 2017. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Iowa. I currently attend Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I love to hike, climb, swim and do anything outdoors. I plan on serving a full time mission for two years following the fall 2016 semester at BYU.

Why I am a Mormon

At first I went to church just because my parents brought me along, but as I grew older I started to wonder why I actually went to church. I had been brought to church by my parents since I was born but I realized I needed to know for myself whether it was true or not. Through prayer and a lot of pondering, I have to come to know of its truth. I have a testimony of the truth of this church. I know that the gospel was restored by a prophet and that the church is led today by living prophets. I know that this is the only true church on the earth today and that the only way to return back to our Heavenly Father is by living the principles and doctrines of this church.

How I live my faith

I attend a congregation of primarily single, 18-22 year old men and women. Every Sunday I go to church to renew commitments I have made between my Heavenly Father and I. I also have the opportunity, along with another man my age, to visit several members of the congregation each month to minister and to serve them. On a daily basis, I am always looking out for opportunities to serve, uplift, and enrich the lives of those around me.
