Hi I'm Megan

I grew up in Oregon, I love to read and write and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies and interests include writing and drawing and I aspire to write for a living. I have an older sister and two younger, and hope to be going to college in Southern Virginia.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a member of this church because of the overwhelming feeling I get when I receive an answer to an otherwise daunting question to another. Such as if there truly is a God on the earth today? And if so how does he know me, or even my name? I can bare wittiness of our Heavenly Father and his presence because I was taught how to recognize his spirit as a youth in His true church.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing it with others. This way I am able to teach those around me the things that drew me closer to our Heavenly Father so that they might feel the same comfort I do.

What do Mormons believe about family?

Megan
In the Family Proclamation to the World, are what we consider guidelines on how a Family should be viewed. One of our core beliefs is the fact that families can be sealed together for eternity, meaning life doesn't end here on earth. In a scripture found in Doctrine and Covenants 130:2 the Lord speaks to the Prophet Joseph Smith saying “same sociality which exists among us here will exist among us there [in eternity], only it will be coupled with eternal glory”. Eternity however can only be provided to those who believe in him and are willing to make and keep sacred ordinances with him. These ordinances are to be preformed in God's holy temples which were restored onto the earth by the power of God through the prophet Joseph Smith. The sealing power to be together with our loved ones for eternity is the same sealing power that was given to the Apostle Peter. though thought to have been lost this power was restored on the earth today by the prophet Joseph Smith. Mormons believe that through this power we are able to be sealed together and therefore live with our loved ones for eternity. Show more Show less
