Hi I'm Shyler Martin

Colorado has been home all of my life. I enjoy sports and being outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a very big college sports fan. My favorite sports to watch are basketball, volleyball, and football. I have completed my freshman year of college and am now serving a full-time mission. I love to travel and experience new cultures. I enjoy going to the mountains and hiking in all of the beauty that Heavenly Father has given us.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Lord's church my entire life. His gospel has blessed my life in so many ways. It keeps me on the path of choosing the right and wanting to be a better person. I know Joseph Smith is a true Prophet, and restored the Lord's gospel on the earth today. I know that the Lord, Jesus Christ, suffered for all of our sins so we may return to be with him again. I know that The Book of Mormon is true, and was written for those in our day. I know that the Lord loves me and I am his child. I know that he knows my strengths and my weaknesses, and will never place anything in my path that I cannot handle. The older I get, the more I start to realize the Lord's hand in my life, and am forever grateful to be a member of his church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a learning experience everyday. Although I have been a member my entire life, I am still learning about this gospel. I have had the opportunity to teach the 7 year olds in my ward about this gospel. I have been learning with them, and my eyes have opened up to more teachings of this church. I try to be like Jesus Christ by being kind and reaching out a loving hand to those around me. Service is key, and even though much of the service I have done has been little, it has helped me grow as a member of this gospel.
