Hi I'm Thomas Robertson

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love soccer and music. I've played for many years and I've participated in choir for longer than that. I find that music brings piece and comfort to the soul, so no matter what it is I am doing (yard work, jogging, working out, or laying around) you can find me with headphones in my ears and music playing. I know a little piano but I wouldn't say I'm any good. I can play the ukulele some, but I find I'm not coordinated enough to strum properly.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church, however that isn't reason I'm a Mormon. I was I'm junior high just living my life only going to church because that's what was expected of me and my friends were there. I wasn't really living the way I should. One Sunday a scripture was read in church- Mosiah chapter 2 verse 21. I suddenly remembered that as a child I became very sick and woke up one night and couldn't breathe. I rushed to my mother shaking her awake and put my hands to my throat- I couldn't even speak. Needless to say I survived and after hearing that scripture in the Book of Mormon I realized I had preserved that day and that my life was not mine to waste. I felt the guilt of all my actions crash on down on me for the first time and felt misery like I've never felt before. I repented and through the atonement I've felt peace and joy so deep and so full I wish for everyone to feel it. This is a joy that some people can only dream of. I know that this church is true. I know that Christ did live and die for me. So I will live for him.

How I live my faith

I am still young but I was called as an advisor in a young men's group. I love this calling because I get work with the youth and help them overcome struggles and trials that I myself have faced. I find they're receptive to me because I am very close to their age. In two weeks time I'll pack up and leave my family for two years as missionary for this church and be numbered among the Lord's servants.
