Hi I'm Savannah

I am from Vancouver, Washington. I love nature and the Northwest. I'm the youngest. I'm a student at BYU-Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Vancouver Washington. I love tress, the rain and the pacific northwest. I enjoy going to the beach, going skiing, hiking, taking pictures, singing, reading, watching movies and serving others. I have two brothers and two sisters and I am the youngest. I have worked as a waitress in a retirement home. I have also worked as a nanny. I love children. It is fun to watch them discover the world. I look forward to being a mother someday. I am a Student at BYU-Idaho. I love college it is challenging but also so much fun! Soon I will be going a mission for the church. I will be serving in the Canada Edmonton mission and I am super excited!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because it brings joy into my life. I see blessings from living the way I have been taught. I know that the teachings of the church are true. I have been raised in the church and my conversion happened little by little as I grew up. As I grew up in the church I had to find out for myself if the church was true. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. My prayer was answered as happiness and peace came over me. I now know the Book of Mormon is true. Throughout my youth I had many more similar experiences that increased my belief. I know that we have a living prophet on the earth today. I know that Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father love us and answer our prayers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to follow Jesus Christ. I know his teachings are true so I strive to live them. I do my best to live my life as God would want me to live it. I have standards that I always try to follow. As I live by those standards I feel closer to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I live the gospel daily by praying to God and by studying his words in the scriptures. This helps me feel peace in my daily life. I know God wants us to serve others so I have served in the church and community. I have organized a week long girls camp for about 100 young women, and I have led a small group of young women in my congregation. Now I am getting ready to serve a mission in Edmonton Canada. While I am there I will serve others and I will share the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who want to come closer to God.
