Hi I'm Trent

I grew up in Northern Utah. I've been a member of the Church my whole life. I love sports & enjoy spending time in the mountains.

About Me

I ran track and sang choir for my high school. I love any sport and enjoy being in the outdoors, participating in hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, and skiing . I love to sketch and doodle. I am planning on attending Utah State University.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in the Church my whole life. I have seen the power of this gospel help other people in their lives, as well as in my own life. I know without a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ came to this earth and suffered all the sins of all people and died for us, that we can live again. Jesus Christ cares so much for each of us and he knows each of us personally. As a member of this great gospel, I feel such a feeling of peace in my daily life and I know what I can become as a child of God. I know my Savior is always there for me, even though I can't always see it at that time. The Gospel has blessed me so much and I am so grateful for the Gospel being restored to this earth and letting me be a part of this great work.

How I live my faith

I attended four years of Seminary during my high school years. I have been called to teach the 10-11 year old youth. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ and there is a special feeling within the Church, unlike anything I have ever felt anywhere else. There is an awesome feeling of a family bond within the Gospel, whether you are blood related or not.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

After the death of Christ, the sacred truths of the gospel began to be lost, and others began organizing religions with only parts of the truth that were left. No one had the full truth. Many centuries later, a young boy by the name of Joseph Smith, wanted to know which of all the churches were true. He was reading in the Bible in James 1:5 which said, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God that giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not and it shall be given him." That is exactly what Joseph Smith did. He went to the woods near his home and prayed to the Lord. Joseph Smith said, "I saw a pillar of light, exactly over my head, above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me. When the light rested upon me, I saw two personages... one of them spake unto me calling me by name and said, pointing to the other, "This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him" (JSH 1:16-17). He told Joseph to join none of the churches and that he was a part of a bigger work. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ and had the power of the priesthood and Gospel of Jesus Christ restored upon the earth. Show more Show less
