Hi I'm Mario Manyaka

I am a South African. Full-Time Missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, SA Durban Mission.

About Me

I am a media and arts extraordinaire, and Seminary Graduate. I have done some TV work and previously hosted a graveyard show in a local radio station. I am passionate about education and its quality. I like singing, acting, hosting events and most of my time I spend it making a difference in someone else's life. I am a young man who deregistered from varsity to serve the Lord as a Full-Time Missionary. I have participated in many musicals, be it at church (Ward, Stake and FSY) or at a personal capacity.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized into the church at age 11, I did understand the teachings of the missionaries. My dad lost his job the same year I was baptized, I couldn't afford to come to church anymore because the chapel was miles away, that's how I became less-active. Almost 4 years later, I came back to the church, more willing and devoted to serve the Lord, I never looked back cause this is where I feel at home, not because of the activities and friends but because of the richness of the gospel, it is not diluted.

How I live my faith

The Church teaches us exactly what the Savior would ask of us to do, if he were here. I devote my time to serving others within my community and if I am unable to assist I escalate it to someone who can be able to assist the particular individual. I am the First Counselor in the Elder's Quorum Presidency of my ward, I had an opportunity to be an assistant to the Seminary Teacher and teach the class whenever he was not available. The youth is an important portion of the Church hence I devote my time every week to counsel and advice them be it personal or circular. I am more of like the activities brain in our ward, I assist every auxiliary from Primary to Young Adults.
