Hi I'm Baylee

I grew up in Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am just a girl who likes to read and watch sports. I am not the typical girly girl who loves to shop and do her hair and makeup, I guess you could call me a tomboy. I dabble in the art of poetry and I love to spend time with friends (who are all completely different from each other) and family (who are much the same and very rowdy). I have completed on year of university and now I am going to serve a mission for the LDS church.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because there is a peace and comfort only this gospel can bring. My mom has always been an active member of the church and a great example to me. She always gave us (me and my younger brother) the opportunity to decide for ourselves what we wanted to do. Whether that be what outfit we wanted to wear, friends to hang out with, or going to church. As most kids do, I had my rebellious teenage years and lost sight of any sort of goal. It was the loneliest time in my life and I was headed to a very dark place. While I was stuck in this pit of self pity and darkness I noticed how happy and bright my old friends were and how I was the dark cloud of the family. I felt like I brought everyone down around me so I tried to avoid spending time with anyone who seemed happy. This led me to spending time with some very negative people. Finally one day I decided I needed a change. I decided I needed more light and positivity in my life. I started going to church again and felt the peace and comfort the Spirit brings. I felt loved for the first time in what seemed like forever. As I continued in activity, I felt the light being restored to me. I felt like I was worth something. I knew I was a daughter of God. I knew that I had a purpose, that life had a purpose. I could finally be happy and I could share that happiness with others.

How I live my faith

I attend my church meetings as much as I can. I am the assistant girls camp director so I had a big role in planning this past year's girls camp.
