Hi I'm Kaden LeFevre

I grew up in Minnesota. I love sports, learning, and service. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Maple Grove, Minnesota. Since you might be wondering: yes, it is very cold there. In High School, I tried to stay involved in various ways. I participated in National Honor Society, DECA, and the Junior Achievement program at my school. I all played Ultimate Frisbee and American Football throughout high school, and I still enjoy playing those sports whenever I can. I found an interest in hiking, basketball, mountain biking, and just about any other physical activity. I went to college at Brigham Young University for one year before recieving a mission call to serve in the Poland Warsaw Mission! I loved the campus, the people that I met, and the experiences I had while attending school, but decided the time was right for me to give my time to the Lord and serve as a Missionary for two years of my life. And so far, I am loving it!

Why I am a Mormon

Both of my parents have been members of the church for their whole lives, so going to church and learning about Jesus Christ have always been part of my life, however, simply growing up in a Mormon household is not the reason I continue to keep the commandments and follow the gospel teachings. Through my own personal experiences, through prayer and through reading and pondering the scriptures, I have come to know in my heart that the things which are taught in this church are true. I know that God loves all of us, and it is because of that love that he sent our Savior, Jesus Christ, to suffer, bleed, and die, that we might all be able to be saved and live with God. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, called by Him to restore the fullness of the gospel to the Earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is truly the word of God, and that we can grow closer in our relationship to God by reading it. I have felt over and over that these things are all true, and this is why I live and love this gospel.

How I live my faith

In my rather short life up to this time, I have always been very active in participating in my community and my congregation. In service to my community, I received a certificate from my home town for meaningful community service after completing my Eagle Scout Project. The project which I chose helped beautify a local arboretum and memorial by laying mulch around the bases of over 200 trees. In the past several years of my life, I have frequently served as a leader in many of the youth groups I've been a part of. I had the privilege of being on a committee which planned several large activities, including dances and conferences where over 200 youth were in attendance. I have also served as a technology specialist, teaching people how to use projectors, televisions, and microphones. I feel that I have offered meaningful service in my ward and my community throughout my life, and I am grateful for all of the opportunities to serve and blessings that the Lord has given me as a result of my decision to serve.
