Hi I'm Katherine

I am half Honduran and half Palestinian. I am very fond of anything with pumpkin. I LOVE my family and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am pretty adventurous, especially with food. Trying new things is a thrill in life. Just last year I finally went skydiving and absolutely loved it and everything it had to offer (the scenery is unlike anything I have seen before). I enjoy reading just as much as watching movies. Something about it allows me to use my imagination to explore the impossible. Oh I should mention that I love anything to do with super heroes, and that definitely includes my mother. She is the one to thank for the person I am today. She encourages me to be the best that I can be. I am a pre-dental student and am loving the journey so far.

Why I am a Mormon

My mother raised me in the church so I was exposed to its teachings from a very young age. I have always felt happy in this religion, never had a reason not to like it, but it was not until I was 12 years old and had had my own revealing experience that I could answer why I am a Mormon. I remember kneeling in my room, surrounded by the darkness of having one's eyes shut. As I asked whether or not the words which I had read in the Book of Mormon were true, I instantly was overtaken with the spirit. The room lit up brighter than any light I had ever seen. I felt the Savior right next to me embracing me to confirm that the Book of Mormon is true. Ever since that experience I can testify without a shadow of a doubt that this church is true.

How I live my faith

Living by my faith is not always an easy thing. Constantly turning to my savior Jesus Christ allows me to pull from his strength to live my life as best as I can. One of the biggest blessings that I have is the ability to enter into his holy house. I strive to go to the temple every week to receive a reminder of the fulfilling feeling that can be felt in the presence of our God. I have learned that is important to turn to God and follow his guidance. There have been countless times where he has instructed me and my family and has blessed us in ways unimaginable for listening and acting according to his promptings.
