Hi I'm Monica

I grew up in Tooele, UT. I am serving a mission in Sapporo, Japan. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to run. I ran track and cross country in high school. Running is my stress reliever. I also really love music. I have played the piano for 12 years, and accompanied my high school show choir and my ward choir. I also play a little bit of guitar. I really like to play card games and board games with my friends. I love being outside! I just finished my freshman year of college and now I am going to be serving a full-time mission for the next 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I love the feelings of happiness and peace this church brings to my life. I was born into the church, but I didn't receive my own testimony until I was a teenager. I have had a lot of disappointments and trials in my life, and those have helped me grow closer to my Heavenly Father and gain my testimony. I know that Heavenly Father answers our prayers, even if we might not like the answers. I know God has a plan for each and every one of us. I also know that we are all children of God, and that we are all extremely loved. I have a testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know it is true, and I can find answers in it's pages. I also know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He restored this church on the earth and I am so grateful for that. I know that our living prophets and apostles are messengers of God, and they can receive revelation for us in our day. I also have a testimony of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that he loves us more than we can even comprehend. He died for all of us. I know that because of him, we never have to go through this life alone. He has felt every pain that we have, and he is truly our brother.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling my callings. I was the ward choir accompanist in my home ward for about 5 years, and I loved serving the ward and providing music for them.
