Hi I'm Jackson

I grew up in Tucson, Arizona. I love baseball, drawing, music, and my huge family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a missionary in the Florida Orlando Mission. I love baseball and being creative (especially when it comes to drawing or working through problems), but it will probably be my nerdy math skills that my future career focuses on. I plan on attending a university to study in the field of Actuarial Science. Nothing, however, is more important to me than my family. I am the fifth child out of eleven and loved growing up in our tight-knit family.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a family that actively attended church and then proceeded to strive to live the gospel in the home, I took everything that was taught by stride. I never asked my church teachers/leaders, parents, nor even God about the truthfulness of the church. Asking seemed so negative; almost as if it meant that I doubted God or my parent's belief. This lack of asking God, however, meant that I had no conviction of the gospel. It meant that, when I needed the hope, peace, and strength that a belief in the gospel brings, I had little to no testimony of it to find my footing in life. I felt like I was trying to stand up on a hill of ice: I could only get so far before I slipped and fell again. I determined that it was fine time to find out what I personally believed. I turned to the Book of Mormon, prayer, and the Atonement for assistance, guidance, and council, which eventually gave way to relief. I can now truly testify of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon and the love of God for all of His children. I am confident that He has a plan for each of us and desires for us to be happy.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving the people of Orlando, Florida. Every day, I get the opportunity to talk to people in need of the hope, joy, peace, and strength that comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. To help those that I meet along that path, I try my best to maintain a strong testimony of the gospel through study, prayer, and continued use of the Atonement.
