Hi I'm Zeke

I'm from Rexburg Idaho. I love to ski. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of five kids. I took two college classes at BYU this summer then returned home to prepare for my mission. I've been working at a metal shop full time for a neighbor. Last winter I learned to ski and I loved every minute of it. I also like to make wood turned vases and spend time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus christ is the way to true and lasting happiness. There are many churches that profess to have it, and many teach good and wholesome doctrines from the bible, but in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, the true authority to administer the gospel and to perform ordinances like baptism and the sacrament, has been restored. I have felt the truth and power of that authority. I know it comes from God. The doctrines contained in the bible are interpreted in many different ways, but the Book of Mormon supports the bible and provides the full and rich truths that have been lost elsewhere. It is the word of God and was translated by revelation.

How I live my faith

I have served as a youth leader in our church and I am about to serve a mission for my church. I will go and teach this gospel to the people in Yakima Washington for the next two years.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Zeke
The Prophet has counseled that all worthy and able young men should serve missions. It is not required to be a member of the church, and one can still be a fully participating member if they do not or did not serve, however, they will miss out on those experiences and blessings they would otherwise have had. I am going on a mission not just because someone told me to, but because I want to learn how to love other people more than myself. I will serve and preach and teach not just because I was asked, but also because it is the way to be happy. Show more Show less
