Hi I'm Nathaniel Bly

I'm from Alberta, Canada. I enjoy reading, sports, and music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. I played volleyball and rugby, wrestled, and ran track all through high school. I enjoy singing in choirs. I love playing games, travelling, hiking, and camping with my family and friends. I took a year of engineering at the University of Lethbridge and hope to pursue a career in engineering.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has been part of this church for many generations. I grew up surrounded by immediate and extended family who were all members of the church. I was taught the very basics of the gospel as a child and continued to learn more as I grew and matured. I think that I always believed the things that my parents taught me - they gave me a good feeling and they made sense in my mind. But my testimony came very gradually and suddenly. I had no dramatic experience in my life that convinced me that what I believed was true. All my life I had been immersed in the church and the gospel so I had very little else to compare them to. But as I continued to do the things I had been taught and follow the teachings of my leaders and the things found in the scriptures, I began to feel more strongly that they were true and that living the gospel is what would make me the happiest I could be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to take advantage of all the opportunities I have to help and serve others in my community, in my church, in my circles of friends, and in my home and family. I am preparing to leave on a two year mission to New York to serve the Lord and to share His gospel with as many people as I can. I try to be clean and thoughtful in the way I dress, the way I speak, the things I view and listen to, and the way I take care of my body.
