Hi I'm Kelsie Jo

I grew up in a small town of Utah, the mountains are my home. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Kelsie Jo, I'm a college student studying the boring, but oh so exciting world of Business. I have two older sisters, a little brother, and the cutest niece to ever grace the planet. I've traveled to South East Asia, Australia, Dubai, and Africa. There's so much to see, and I plan to see all of it. I want to change the world one kid at a time. If I could live in a tent or a four runner, I most certainly would. Camping, hiking, rock climbing, long boarding, picture taking, and reading are of the most beautiful variety. If it involves being in the remarkable world God created, chances are i'm in.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints, because it is the way I came to know my Father in Heaven. Growing up in the church, I don't think I always recognized the ways God was involved in my life. I had so much happiness, but I didn't recognize the peace I was feeling came from the Gospel, I thought it was apart of the world I was living in. It wasn't until I took several steps away from the church, and my life because a darker place. I met two people who just had this amazing spirit about them. They had so much light, it was such a familiar feeling. I realized it was the light the Gospel brings. I had that spirit about me before, and I no longer did. I started to go back to church, and regain the relationship with my Father in Heaven, and felt his mercy and forgiveness. My Father in Heaven has brought me so much peace and happiness, being apart of this church is the way I developed my relationship with him, and that's something I never want to lose.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being a friend. For me, the best way to live, and spread the Gospel is to be kind and happy. I'm most certainly a people person. Listening to people tell their story, what's happened in their lives, about their family, and what they're passionate about, really just connecting with someone is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Kindness is so underrated in the world today. I also live my faith through humanitarian work. Creating a connection with families, and kids around the world. Helping them with whatever they need. I've found, even after teaching them English, helping build a school, or start a new business, the best thing I can share with them is a small testimony that their Father in Heaven is there, and loves them, truly loves them. Eventually, I always went home but God will stay and do things for them I can only dream of. Life can be really tough sometimes, especially in less developed places of the world. To have that light that a loving Father in Heaven brings, is the greatest thing anybody can have I guess that's how I live my faith, loving people and trying my best to be kind.
