Hi I'm Treva Reed

Iowa was my home until 17 years ago. Now Utah is my home. I'm retired now and loving it. I'm a happy Mormon.

About Me

I was a stay-at-home mom until my children were just about out of high school. I'm retired now after working in the insurance industry for many years. I love to quilt. No heirloom quilts for me. My quilts are made to be used. I have given a lot of them away. I also like to read (Christian authors.)

Why I am a Mormon

I knew then and I know now that this church is Christ's church. I know that the Book of Mormon tells us of the things we should do so that we can live with our Heavenly Father again. One of the truths taught is that families can be together forever. I want to be with my family forever. Of course, I need to be worthy to have this great blessing. I am trying to live the way that Jesus Christ lived and taught.

How I live my faith

In our church, we have a lot of opportunities to serve. Over the years, I have worked with the young children, teenagers and women of the church. I love visiting teaching, where two of us visit another women. We get to know each other, becoming friends. We also help each other, sometimes with a listening ear, a ride somewhere or dinner. I have made wonderful friends through visiting teaching. One of my favorite things was when I chaired a day of service. Women from our area were invited to spend a few hours or the day tying quilts, making t-shirt dresses, scrapbooks & winter hats or painting cars. All of these were given to people in need.
