Hi I'm Kylie

I grew up in Utah. I went to school in Hawaii. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in under two years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a NERD. Capital N E R D. I love BBC Sherlock, Doctor Who, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, etc. I love science and read about 21-30 articles a week. I also LOVE statistics! I graduated from High School with an Associate's degree, and then went to BYU-Hawaii and earned a Bachelor's in Psychology in less than two years. I like hiking, walking, swimming, and cycling, but hate most other forms of exercise. I love food of most any kind (me and seafood have issues), but Mexican food/flavor is my absolute favorite (like I could eat it for the rest of my life)! I love to garden and can play the piano. I try to plan everything in my life down to as minute a detail as I can get, but I am learning that when you rely on God and not your own plans, everything turns out much better.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, but have chosen to stay in it and to follow God's plan for me. I chose to stay because I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I have prayed to Him and asked him if the Book of Mormon is true; I know that it is. I also know that the teachings in the Bible are precious, particularly the teachings of Jesus while he was on this Earth. I stay because of the truths that I get to be taught every Sunday. I stay because the spirit of God, the Holy Ghost, continually confirms to me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church on Earth that has ALL of the truth.

How I live my faith

I teach the 6-7 year old Sunday school class in my ward. I also am the choir pianist. In Sunday school I get to teach the small children how to be good citizens and how to be decent people. We teach them that telling the truth is good, as is obeying the law. We teach them to say thank you for things they receive, and we teach them to share. In choir we sing hymns so that we can invite the Holy Ghost to be with us.
