Hi I'm Hunter Saunders

I have moved 15 times. I have a passion for serving others. I love the game of golf. I am a Mormon.

About Me

Having had the opportunity to move throughout my life has provided me experiences that have led to the person I am today. Sure, moving can be tough but I made a decision early on to look for the positives in each of the moves which is exactly what my parents did. One of the most important things I learned is that there are good people everywhere. I was able to make great friends in each place I lived which has allowed me to understand how to relate to all types of people and cultures. I have always tried to be very active in my schools whether it was in sports, academics, drama, leadership, etc. I found by engaging in each of these I was able to develop my leadership skills and social skills as well as make awesome friends. I absolutely love the game of golf. I was fortunate to play on my high schools varsity golf team for my Junior and Senior years. I am hoping to play professionally someday. I also have a passion and love for graphics design. I took 2nd place in the State of Utah at SkillsUSA representing Timpanogos High School for Graphics Design when I was a Junior. One of the things I love most is finding ways to serve others. It does not matter how, just giving service to others is what makes me most happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first and foremost because I have testimony of the gospel. This testimony has come first from seeing how my parents have lived their lives. They have always taught my brothers and how important it is to live the principles taught within the gospel. Their love for Jesus Christ is evident by how they live and serve. My personal testimony has come over time as I have strived to learn as much as possible about all aspects of the gospel. I have read the scriptures

How I live my faith

I have always tried to live my faith simply by being an example. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and as I strive to live as Christ would want me to I feel His love for me. I have had the opportunity to serve in a number of different callings and with each one I have always tried to do the best I can. One of the things I love most is hometeaching. This is an opportunity for me and my companion to visit assigned families each month. When we visit them we share a message of the gospel with them and also see if there is anything we can do to help them. One of the most amazing ways I have been able to live my faith was when we lived in Virginia Beach. My dad was the leader or Branch President of the Spanish speaking congregation. I had the chance to speak to his congregation on a regular basis in Spanish. From that experience I not only found a deep love for the Hispanic people but was able to learn how to speak Spanish really well. Although I may not have always been excited about giving those talks in Spanish, I realize now why I was given those opportunities as I was called to serve in the Idaho Boise Mission, Spanish Speaking. I love living my faith.
