Hi I'm Lauren

I live in Iowa. I have six siblings. I run cross country and track and participate in Student Council. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in Iowa. I'm a sophomore in high school where I participate in student council, cross country, and track. I really enjoy running. I have six siblings who are all absolutely amazing and I love to spend time with them. We enjoy playing games together and just hanging out.

Why I am a Mormon

I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. It's the same church that Christ established when he was on the earth and I know that it's been restored in the latter days through the prophet Joseph Smith. This knowledge is why I'm a Mormon. My parents are both Mormon so I was raised in the church and taught this truth ever since I was young. As you get older though, you have to really gain a testimony for yourself. I've had experiences where I've felt of God's love for me and I know of the truthfulness of the gospel. I've never had some amazing, life changing experience but I've felt God's love in the quiet, peaceful moments, and that's a testimony to me.

How I live my faith

There are nine active mormons in our high school of just over 1,000. Every day we must live the gospel of Jesus Christ in all we do. Sometimes its hard being the minority and having higher standards than most of my peers but by having a testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and having good friends who respect my standards it's possible to stand up for what I believe in. By having a strong testimony of my Savior and living His gospel I'm able to set an example for those around me. Right now I am our MiaMaid (girls ages 14-15) class president. I enjoy getting to help serve the girls my age. I love feeling the Saviors love for each of them.
