Hi I'm Kenny

I was born in Provo and raised in Brigham City Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am the 2nd of 6 children (4 sisters and 1 brother). My parents have always been active in the LDS Church. I have 4 children and 3 step-children as well as 17 grandchildren and 1 great grand-child (at last count). I spent four years in the US Army in the Field Artillery Fire Direction center. I played in a Country Western band for almost 25 years (which I loved). Music has always been a big part of my life. My career was spent in computers and technology which is also one of my hobbies. For some reason they have always made sense to me.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was raised in an active LDS home, I did rebel and spent a few years out of the Gospel. When my Grandma was sick and dying in the hospital, made me promise that I would study and pray about the Gospel one more time. I was fortunate enough to have my prayers answered in a very real way that led me back to full activity in the Gospel. I love the feeling I get when I serve the Lord. I have developed a deeper love for my family, friends, and neighbors and have felt their support, love and prayers acting in my life frequently.

How I live my faith

I am currently a member of the Bishopric in our ward and have loved serving in that capacity. My favorite calling was probably when I served as the Gospel Doctrine Instructor. I don't think I was particularly good but I loved preparing lessons as it gave me a great opportunity to study the Gospel principles in depth. I enjoy doing genealogy work and learning about my ancestors. I have been able to serve a part-time Family History mission for 12 months and thoroughly enjoyed it. I now meet with my mother weekly to continue the research and document our family history.
