Hi I'm Tyler

I was born in Southern California to members. I pray as I grew up to learn of the Truth. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am an Eagle Scout, hobbies include reading, and playing video games. My interests are in Law Enforcement. I am on a mission to the Tennessee Nashville Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I one day decided to see if this church is true and I decided to pray about it. And I received a feeling that this is true. After that I decided to still be a member as I learned that this is the true church.

How I live my faith

When I learn anything new about this church I pray about this and I learned that this is true and that the Prophet and his apostles will never leave this church astray.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

The reason that only some members can go to the temple is that we have to be worthy to enter the temple. The Temple is the House of the Lord and it should not be desecrated. Also we do some important covenants while we are alive, and we also do those for ancestors who don't have the ability to do them when they were alive. Show more Show less

What is the purpose of the welfare services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

The Welfare services is to help promote self-reliance, and to help the poor and needy. The reason is that the Church uses a great idea that the US President FDR used in the Great Depression. He gave relief to people (when possible) threw doing service. The service is for members and non-members alike, and it is the poor and needy's decision to ask for this service. Show more Show less

Why did your church previously practice plural marriage (polygamy)?

At times, the Lord had commanded that plural marriage happen. But it is to help establish the house of Israel. In the early days of the church, it was allowed, but the people had to be called to do so and the marriages must be done by the sealing power of the priesthood. Also during that time, there were many widows and orphans who didn't have a father or husband in there lives. And some church members were called to marry the widows so that way they have husbands who can provide for them, and a father for there kids. Show more Show less
