Hi I'm Miranda Hansen

I grew up in Meridian, Idaho in a less active home. I'm the only active member in my family. I'm going on a mission. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently working at a pretty fun place called J Dawgs. I'm the oldest of four children. I have two younger brothers and one younger sister. I plan to go to college for elementary education. I want to be a pre school teacher :) I love artsy stuff. I did choir in high school, along with pottery and other art classes. I love food. But food that isn't very good for you... Pizza is number one! I also have a big sweet tooth. Fudge brownies are my weakness. Anything chocolate, really! I'm quiet, and I'm inside my own head quite a bit. I enjoy my quiet alone time where I get to sit outside and just read or enjoy the things around me. I'm not athletic at all... I'm not very coordinated. It's pretty funny trying to catch a football, or hit a volleyball:) haha. I come from a very different family background. My parents never married, and I have one half brother and one half sister. I'm pretty mature in the way that I helped my mom raise my siblings from age 12 on. I hope to have a family of my own someday, and to make sure that my children have a different upbringing.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a home where I didn't really understand this gospel or its teachings... I didn't know of all the bits and pieces of this gospel. As I got older, I was curious. But it wasn't until I was 14 and made a personal decision to participate in a class called seminary. There, I prayed to Heavenly Father that I would feel the spirit. Something I hadn't felt before. I prayed with a sincere heart and real intent to find out for myself if this gospel was true, if God was real, and if Joseph Smith had actually been a true and living prophet. Feeling the spirit for the first time brought me to tears- something that never happens... I knew. I'm a Mormon because I have seen the ways that this gospel has changed my life and has helped me do things that I never thought were possible! I've never had a more pure joy in my life... I've recognized blessings in my life. I see people through different eyes. I'm more patient. Less judgemental. Happier. More understanding. I've become someone I've always wanted to be. I have more to live for. I have better goals for myself and my future family. This gospel is worth the hard work and commitment to live a better life. I find myself excited for each day and for my future. It's helped me to recognize what I want and don't want for myself. I love my savior and I owe everything to him. I have felt peace, and love. I've become more confident in myself and the trials that come in this life. I'm more than grateful for this church and for the Book of Mormon. There's nothing more valuable in this world than the lessons I've learned from it. I cherish the verses that I've highlighted. I read through them when I need guidence and hope and to feel a deep love from God.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying my best to help those around me feel included and loved. The savior lives his life by doing these things.. I'm not the best at times, and I make mistakes but I try and try each day. I know what it's like to feel like you don't belong, and I don't want other people to feel that way so I try my best... I try to also be an example and to serve those around me with anything they need.
