Hi I'm Eli

I grew up in Utah, and love to spend time camping, reading, and playing soccer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the second oldest of eight children. I grew up in Utah and graduated from high school. I love spending time in the outdoors, and worked at a Boy Scouts of America camp for four summers. I was very involved in Boy Scouts, and have helped in many ways including serving as Lodge Chief in the Order of the Arrow. I participated in my local robotics club all through high-school and took two programming classes. I also enjoy reading, and occasionally write my own stories. I hope to publish a book one day. I currently work full-time as a grocery store clerk.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up into a culture and family where being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ for Latter Day Saints is accepted as normal. However, over the years it's become important to me to build my own faith and testimony of the things we believe. I have had many experiences in which I've been blessed for living the gospel, and have felt God's spirit and love for me as I do so. I have come to my own conclusion that this is Jesus Christ's church restored on the earth, that he did suffer and die for us, and that he continues to give guidance to the world through a living prophet. The things that I've learned, the experiences I've had, and the special feelings of the spirit are of priceless to me.

How I live my faith

I always try to be kind and considerate to all those I meet. I look for ways to help out my family, as well as support my friends. I help teach at church when asked, currently am helping as an advisor to one of our young men groups.
