Hi I'm Callie Ogletree

I live in Provo, Utah, I'm studying to become a nurse at Brigham Young University, I love to run, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born into the LDS faith of a family of 8 kids! I have 6 sisters and 1 brother and we are all best friends. I did gymnastics my whole childhood and then when I hit teenage years I changed that hobby into cheerleading. I was a cheerleader for 4 years throughout middle school and high school. In high school I went out for the cross country team and found a passion for running! I did my first half marathon last year and plan to do many more. During high school I did a Medical Assistant course and received my certification for that. I am currently in college studying to be a nurse and hope to one day work as a labor and delivery nurse. I have a passion for traveling the world and have been to many countries. I love learning about different cultures and meeting amazing people. The Church of Jesus Christ is the center of my life and I find so much joy, happiness, and peace from living and obeying the commandments.

Why I am a Mormon

One of my favorite things about this church is that this isn't just something we do on Sundays. This church is a lifestyle. The knowledge we have of Christ and his perfect love for us, knowing we can be with our families forever by marriage in the temple, knowing that we lived with God before we came to earth and we will return to him after, it all gives life a purpose. Christ, being perfect, died for our sins so that we can ALL become perfect like him. That is our purpose in this life on earth, is to live to our fullest potential so that we can live with Christ again. To me, that makes me want to be my best self everyday because living with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ forever in a state of everlasting happiness is the best goal. By reading the Book of Mormon, I have gained a knowledge of this gospel and have felt for myself the peace and happiness that comes every time I open that book. No book on this earth can make you feel the way the Book of Mormon does. Anytime I am having a hard day, I read a verse or 2 of scripture and immediately I feel peace and the feeling that everything will work out. This is why I love the gospel of Jesus Christ. I want everyone to know that by this church, there is hope and peace and comfort. Christ is always there for you and he wants you to turn to him. No trial, hardship or sin is too great for Christ! He is the ultimate example of patience, unconditional love, forgiveness, and humility. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith everyday by getting involved in my church callings, reading my Book of Mormon daily, attending the temple, and reaching out and helping those around me. Currently I serve in my church as an online missionary! I love being able to share my beliefs and how the church has blessed my life over social media and the internet! I want everyone to feel the same happiness and peace that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints makes me feel everyday.
