Hi I'm Trevor Nelson

I grew up in Roy, Utah. I'm just trying to be a better person each day. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have many hobbies and interests that change fairly regularly, right now I really like playing golf, but some of the other hobbies I have are basketball, baseball, hiking, biking, camping, fishing, x-box, etc. I am an eagle scout and because of the scouting program I have had amazing experiences ranging from building mousetrap cars to repelling off cliffs in some of Utah's national parks. I recently graduated from high school and now I'm trying to figure out what to do with the rest of my life as far as school and a career.

Why I am a Mormon

It took a while to gain my own testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. But by reading my scriptures and praying daily, attending church, and doing my best to keep the commandments of God, I have come to know this church is true. I know that God, our Heavenly Father, is real and loves each and every one of us more than we can possibly understand. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, that it was translated by Joseph Smith through the power of God. I have come to know of its truth by studying it and praying about it. I know the power of the priesthood is real and have personally seen it work miracles in the lives of those who are faithful enough to receive it by those who are worthy enough to use it. I know that President Thomas S. Monson is a true prophet of God. I know that my Savior, Jesus Christ, lives, that he suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane, and was crucified to atone for the sins of each and every one of us so that we may all obtain eternal life. Each day my goal is to be better than I was yesterday, or last month, or last year, and this church has helped me become a better, happier person. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church every Sunday, studying my scriptures and praying daily, paying tithing, and doing my best to help those around me. I am definitely not perfect, but I am trying hard each day to achieve my ultimate goal of reaching my full potential.
