Hi I'm Braden

I fillet fish. I'm an amateur sculptor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent High School graduate and the middle child of three. I spent my summer in Alaska working at a fishing lodge and at home I work at a fish hatchery. Somehow I still enjoy fishing. I love my mountain bike and my guitar. I'm an explorer and an adventurer. Any day spent in the great outdoors is a good one. I'm happy when I'm learning and trying new things. I'm an aspiring sculptor. Clay is fun but I like carving better. Stone and wood are my mediums of choice. I'm handy with a hammer and chisel, and even a pocket knife. My chainsaw carving skills on the other hand are still a little rusty.

Why I am a Mormon

We live in a world where there are conflicting opinions about nearly everything. Information is twisted skewed to the point where it's hard to know the whole truth about anything. It's enough to drive anyone insane. If only there was something in this world for us to rely on that is complete and 100% true... Wait a second! There is! It's the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! The only church on the earth that has the entire restored gospel of Jesus Christ. The only church that has living prophets who receive revelation straight from God! That's Why I'm a Mormon. The gospel is my rock and my foundation. I know I am living life how I'm supposed to if I follow the teachings of the gospel. I can't truly say that about anything else.

How I live my faith

The only thing better than being a part of the gospel is the happiness that comes with sharing it. I get to give two years of my life to share the gospel with the people of Sweden as a full time missionary. But even when I'm not serving as a missionary I share the gospel by setting an example. It doesn't matter if I'm in public, with friends or with my family. I try to live in a way that pleases my Heavenly Father. I set an example in the way I act and present myself. Service is one of my favorite ways to show God and others who I am and what I'm all about. I'm nowhere near perfect but that's what's so great about the gospel. As long as you keep trying and moving in the right direction you can always be forgiven when you slip up. It's a beautiful thing. Christ's Atonement is real and it is infinite. If you truly feel sorry for something and desire to make it right, you can be forgiven. I can't imagine how it would feel not knowing this. That's why I want to share it with those who don't know.
