Hi I'm Maddy

I grew up in Tennessee. My family members are my best friends. I love athletics, board games, movies, and reading. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of 4 children. I am going to college at Brigham Young University. I am majoring in Special Education. I love bowling, especially with my siblings. I love volleyball and softball. I am a proud Aunt. I love reading and watching movies. I am currently preparing for a mission.

Why I am a Mormon

Because I was raised in the church, for a while, I was able to lean on the testimonies of my parents. Eventually I realized that I wanted more. I wanted to know for myself that it was true. So I prayed and studied and pondered to know the truth. I kept waiting for some big miraculous answer but instead it was a subtle understanding. I think I had known for a while, but had needed to put in the effort to fully know. I know this church is true. I can see it in the eyes of my parents, teachers, and leaders when they talk about the gospel. I hope others can see it in my eyes. I am a Mormon because I know the way it makes me feel and I never want to lose that.

How I live my faith

Everyday I strive to be the best person I can be. I strive to be someone my Savior would be proud of. I try to build others around me and put them first. I am not afraid to stand up for what I believe in or to be different. I try to find ways to constantly serve in my community and live in accordance to the standards.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Maddy
Families are central to God's plan and can be blessings in our lives. In families, we can find peace, love, and joy. Families can have trying times, but if they can work through it together, families can experience so much happiness together and strengthen each other. They can help each other learn and grow closer to Christ. Homes and families established on gospel principles can be a place of refuge, safety, love, and happiness. Families can be together forever. I testify of this. My own family has been a blessing in my life because of the happiness and laughter I experience when I am with them. I love them with all my heart. Show more Show less
