Hi I'm Jordan Tanuvasa

I'm from Honolulu, Hawaii and I'm serving a mission in Ventura, California

About Me

I graduated in the class of '15 and I am going to serve a mission in Ventura, California. In high school I played basketball and football. I was baptized when I was nine years old, but wasn't active growing up. I started coming back to church in high school. Through high school I had no desire to go on a mission. However my senior year of high school I went through a medical trial that changed my perspective on life. I desired to learn about the gospel, gained a testimony of Jesus Christ, and prayed to know what I should do. I received an answer to my prayer that I should serve a mission and help others come unto Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it has brought me closer to Jesus Christ. However, I didn't always have a strong testimony of my Savior and the truthfulness of the restored gospel. It was through reading the Book of Mormon that I came to know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ and it supports the Bible to testify of Jesus Christ and His divinity.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving a mission and doing my best each and every day to help others come unto Christ. Being on a mission has helped me to lose myself in the service of others and to look outward rather than inward.
