Hi I'm Indra Luo

I am a Chinese-Indonesian. A martial artist. I am Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a Chinese family and Confucianism has been our way of life. My family thinks that religion is just not important because what we have to hold dearly is family and tradition. I grew up knowing nothing about God, and somehow, questions His existence. I learned the LDS Church from internet and after two months of intense studying with missionaries, I chose to be baptized as a full member. I love martial arts especially Wushu and Hapkido. I hold a black belt in those martial arts and planning to open my own martial arts school. Talking about education, I want to be a cardiac surgeon in the future. I want to be a person who can save another with my talents. I love my family and my life. So, cheers for the great life!

Why I am a Mormon

I always want to become a better person. Before knowing His church, I feel that I am lost and does not have someone that would listen to my problems. I am calling for help, and Heavenly Father provided me the way to change. It was hard to make a decision of being baptized, but I know that it is the only way of salvation. My family discouraged my choice to be baptized, but as time goes by, I can see that they are supporting me to keep standing in His church. I can proudly say that His church saved my life. I do not have any fear and doubts to walk in this life. I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live and love us more than anyone. I can proudly say, that Heavenly Father will guide you to come unto Jesus Christ using His church as a footstep. I know that praying about these things will help you understanding the truth. I know that these things will make you come closer to His Kingdom on Earth.

How I live my faith

I have been called as an assistant in the family history work at my ward. I am responsible for helping investigators and church members to track and create their family chart. It is nice to see people knowing their ancestors. Doing family history work helps me understand that I should be grateful of my ancestors because I will not be here without them. Family history work is also important because we can help them to receive the fullness of the gospel in the afterlife. I know that many of my ancestors do not know about Jesus, but I believe that by doing the family history and send their names to Temple might be a great help for them. I also teach Tai Chi Chuan for some elder members because I know that it might help them maintaining their health and wellness.
