Hi I'm Parker Rogers

I grew up in Idaho. I love running and biking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I love to mountain bike and run on beautiful mountain trails. I also really enjoy playing the piano and listening to music. I like all kinds of recreational sports and games. Some of those include basketball, ping-pong, ultimate frisbee, disc golf, and foosball. In high school, I played music in addition to running on the track and cross country teams. I am about to serve in the Massachusetts, Boston mission, and I am extremely excited to go!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read and prayed about the Book of Mormon and have felt the confirmation of its divinity by the Holy Ghost. Although I have been active in the church my entire life, I have found for myself that the its tenets are in harmony with the Bible. I know that God lives and that his son Jesus Christ died to atone for the sins of the world. Joseph Smith was called by God to be a prophet and that he translated the Book of Mormon. I know the Book of Mormon is an inspired book of scripture containing the records of the ancient inhabitants of America. I know that Thomas S. Monson is the true and living prophet on the earth today. I have come to these conclusions by prayer and the confirmation of the Spirit.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as an assistant to the Bishop. Along with two other young men and a leader, I help plan activities for the rest of the young men in my ward. We also try to help other members in our ward and community through service, and home teaching. I will also consecrate my time to my Savior, Jesus Christ by serving a full-time mission. As a missionary, I will invite others to come unto Christ and learn about His Atoning sacrifice for our sins.
