Hi I'm Mason

I live in Utah. I have been called to serve in the Argentina, Buenos Aires North Mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

So, like it says my name is Mason, and I live in Utah. My parents own their own millworking business, where I work. I have 3 brothers, 1 sister, and 3 cats, and my family in general is just the greatest. I am a huge geek. I love comics/superheroes, Star Wars, LOTR, Theatre, Music/Choir, videogames, movies, cooking, fencing (swordfighting, not putting up fences), reading, etc, etc. I am leaving to serve in the Argentina, Buenos Aires North Mission in November. I've been blessed to be a member of the church my whole life, and am extremely excited to serve the Lord for two years.

Why I am a Mormon

Personally I am a Mormon because I love the truth, peace, and happiness the restored gospel brings me. I have never doubted it's veracity. The teachings of the gospel give me the eternal perspective I need to understand what is important in this life, and even though I am not perfect, and that "I'm not what I want to be, I'm not what I ought to be, but I thank my God that I am better than I used to be." I have seen, even in my short life, how the Lord will prepare His people, and how He truly inspires His prophets. The Family: A Proclamation to the World, is the perfect example of both these, and this wonderful document, given to us by living prophets, is just one more reason I am a Mormon. If you have doubts, or if you are interested in the church, read the Book of Mormon. Take Moroni's challenge at the end to pray to know if the words contained therein are true. Find out for yourself. May the Lord bless you.

How I live my faith

I love going to church every week, and I am actively involved in my Young Men's group. Currently, I am assisting in the production of the Stake Road Show, and my ward is basing our part of the road show on the 1970s. I live the standards of the church, and when I don't do so well, I repent. One of the biggest examples of how I live my faith is that I am preparing to serve the Lord on a full time mission, giving away two years of my life to find His lost sheep.

What are Mormon temples used for?

In temples we participate in ordinances that enable us to receive exaltation, or the opportunity to spend eternity in the presence of and becoming like our Heavenly Father, as well as perform those same ordinances in behalf of the dead who did not have the opportunity to receive these same ordinances while they were alive.
