Hi I'm Robbie

I'm a college student. I love sports. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest of 8 kids. I have a big family and family is very important to me. I love all sports. I think they can bring family together. I finished my first year at college and am preparing to leave on my LDS mission to London soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up being a Mormon. My family have always been active in the church and it's never not been a part of my life. I think early on, I attended meetings and was a part of this gospel simply because my family was. I didn't necessarily think the church wasn't true, I just didn't have a strong testimony for myself. It wasn't until I went to college to be on my own that I gained my own testimony. My family wasn't there to make sure I was going to church on my own or saying my prayers. So I could have chosen to either stop going to church or continue on the path that I was shown. So I decided to find out for myself if this is the true church of Christ. My testimony grew a lot during that year on my own and I now don't have to rely on someone else's testimony. This gospel brings a happiness that can only being found in its teachings. I'm happy to say that I've found this happiness and I continue to be diligent everyday in maintaining that happiness.

How I live my faith

I attend my weekly meetings in my ward. Just recently, our ward was asked to help with the disaster relief in Louisiana because of the flooding. Doing things like that are ways that I live my faith. Doing these things is fulfilling my calling as a priesthood holder.
