Hi I'm Aaron Poulsen

Born in California, I now live in Georgia and got here by way of Brazil. I came for the Olympics (1996) I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Growing up in southern California, I enjoyed exploring the hills, playing sports, and participating in the Boy Scouts. Today a father of four, I teach landscaping, greenhouse production, and other horticulture skills. With work, Scouting, swim team, church assignments, and household tasks, my wife and I still try to find time to spend together. We enjoy exercising or watching movies together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. I enjoyed pretty much all of it and I always felt it was true. Like everyone, I needed to know that it really was true. Beyond a powerful answer to my prayer, the more frequent and quieter reminders of it truth come when living a principle of its teaching, listening to the prophets and raising my children. Do I have doubts, more often than I want to admit. When I begin to doubt I am reminded of a time when some of Christ's disciples began to leave him and he asked the apostles if they would also leave him. Peter answered, "Lord, to whom shall we go? Though hast the words of eternal life." (John 6:66-69) As a Mormon I have found Christ and in His church I hear the words of eternal life.

How I live my faith

I believe fairh is strengthened by action or by living the gospel. For me the best action I have found is to serve others. I try to serve my wife and children with this in mind. I try to serve others through my position in Scouting and church. At work my faith is the basis for my efforts and my approach to serving the students. It is who I try to be and why I do what I do. I hope I can treat these gifts as Christ would.
