Hi I'm Anne

Hi! I'm Anne. I'm a retired teacher, wife, mother and grandmother and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a wife, a mother of 3 children and 3 grandchildren so far. Family is so important to me. I am also a teacher and I love to help children learn new things and watch them experience an 'aha' moment when it all comes together for them. I worked as a teacher for 28 years. I am now retired but our family is still my main focus and we love to think of all kinds of activities to do together so that we can stay close together as a family. I play the piano, organ, and love to sing. I like to spend time reading, sewing, 4-wheeling, and snowmobiling. We have a cabin near Yellowstone Park where I spend a lot of time and I love the out of doors. Most of all I love my husband. He is my best friend and we work to be together forever. As a matter of fact, we are getting ready to on a mission to Ghana, Africa. What an adventure we will have together!

Why I am a Mormon

I I am a Mormon because I grew up in a Mormon family. My parents taught me the gospel and we always went to church together. I always believed what my parents and teachers taught me. After graduation I went to Ricks College, a church owned school, and after taking some religion classes I knew that I needed to find out for myself if the things I was being taught were true. I knelt one night and began to pray. I didn't have any miraculous experience but I did feel very good in my heart that these things were true. Over the next few months, the Lord let me know that what I had read in the Book of Mormon was true. As I have continued to read the scriptures and study the gospel consistently, I have had happiness and peace in my life no matter what trials and adversity have come my way. The Lord has blessed me in so many ways. I am so grateful for his atoning sacrifice He made for each of us so that we may live with Him again someday. I am so grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and wonder where I would be today without the church to guide me in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be like Jesus every day. I pray morning and evening to my Heavenly Father. I search the scriptures and study articles by our prophet and apostles to build my faith in my Savior, Jesus Christ. I try to give service to others in any way that I can. I serve in the Church doing whatever I'm asked to do. I have taught others about the gospel. I also play the piano, organ, and have led the choir for church services. I try to be a good example to those I come in contact with.
